Alexandra Jakob, founder of Globe Wealth

Alexandra Jakob

Alexandra Jakob, a prominent Sydney-based entrepreneur and founder, is celebrated for her vast experience spanning various industries, including education, private investment, technology startups, e-commerce, hospitality, fintech, and beauty. With a track record of establishing and successfully exiting notable businesses such as Little Learning School and BondiBoost, Alexandra currently helms Globe Wealth, a private family office, focused on business strategy, investment management, and fostering partnerships.

In 2007, driven by her experiences as a mother, Alexandra acquired her first childcare centre. Passionate about providing children with exceptional care and development, she introduced strategic educational programmes, a wide array of extracurricular activities, and staff-to-children ratios that exceeded industry averages. The resounding success of Little Learning School propelled its rapid expansion throughout NSW, Canberra, and Melbourne, positioning it as one of Australia's premier and largest privately owned childcare groups. By 2018, the business had grown to more than 2,500 employees across 54 centres. That year, Alexandra sold the first 20 centres to Bain Capital Private Equity, and in 2020 the remaining centres — which had been rebranded under the Bliss Early Learning name — were sold to Busy Bees, a global childcare operator.

In 2018, Alexandra launched BondiBoost, an Australian-made haircare brand built on salon-grade, performance-driven botanicals. By blending a distinctive brand identity with innovative digital marketing, BondiBoost became one of Australia’s fastest-growing consumer brands — surpassing $1M revenue in its first months, building a 770K+ community, and expanding into global retailers including Sephora (US & Canada), Ulta, and Boots UK. In 2022, BondiBoost was acquired by US private equity firm Gauge Capital in a nine-figure deal.

Diversifying her portfolio, Alexandra entered the hospitality sector in 2023 as a strategic partner and investor in Iberica, a charming Mediterranean restaurant situated in Bondi. Renowned for its artistic ambiance and delightful Spanish cuisine, Iberica has emerged as a gem in Sydney's fiercely competitive culinary landscape.

Alexandra is also established in television production as co-owner and executive producer of "Memory Bites", a series featuring iconic Australian chef and restauranteur, Matt Moran. The successful series launched on SBS Food and SBS On-Demand early 2025, was featured on Sky News, and has attracted a range of notable celebrities, including Richard Roxburgh (Elvis, Rake), Pia Miranda (Looking for Alibrandi, Wentworth), and comedian Ross Noble. Global distribution rights for Memory Bites have been secured by BBC Studios, who will also represent the series worldwide.

Since 2024, Alexandra has led Globe Wealth, a private family office that deploys her own capital into direct investments across education, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, fintech, and media. With a global outlook and hands-on approach, Globe Wealth combines capital with entrepreneurial insight to help businesses scale, while building a future-focused platform to back female founders and women-led ventures.
